Install
To install Chatdek on WooCommerce, copy your snippet from the Install Guide in the Chatdek portal and paste it in your WordPress theme's footer, since WooCommerce runs on WordPress. It takes about five minutes and needs no coding beyond pasting one line. Your own snippet, with your real key, is shown in the Install Guide page of the Chatdek portal. Copy it from there rather than from this page.
In short
Add the Chatdek chat widget to a WooCommerce website: in your WordPress theme's footer, since WooCommerce runs on WordPress. No coding needed beyond pasting one line.
You need your Chatdek account and your snippet. It looks like this, with your own key in place of YOUR_KEY:
<script src="https://widget.chatdek.com/widget.js" data-key="YOUR_KEY" async></script>You also need permission to edit your WooCommerce site's code or scripts.
Follow the WordPress steps: install a header and footer scripts plugin and paste your snippet into its footer box.
If your theme offers a Custom code or Scripts setting in the customizer, you can use that instead.
Save, clear your caching plugin and any CDN cache, and visit your shop in a private window.
The chat appears on every page, including product pages and the cart, unless you hide it there in Chatdek's Chat Design.
After saving, open your website in a private window, wait a few seconds and look for the chat button. If you do not see it, clear any caching plugin or CDN cache and reload.
Then open the Install Guide in the Chatdek portal; it confirms when it can see the widget on your website.
Make sure you pasted the whole line, with nothing added inside the quotes, and that it is saved and published.
Check that a cookie or security plugin is not blocking third-party scripts, and that your domain matches the website address in your Chatdek account.
If you are still stuck, write to us through the contact page and mention that you use WooCommerce.
