Create a free account, choose a plan, add your business information to the knowledge base, then customize the widget and paste one snippet on your website. It works on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace or any site where you can add a script.

What to do, and where

Create your account
Sign up with your name, email, company and website, then verify your email address.

Choose a plan
Pick Starter, Pro, Agency or Scale. Pay for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months by card and your plan is active right away.
Portal or pricing page
Add your business information
Write entries for your services, prices, hours and FAQs, or upload documents. Every plan can also read your website.
Knowledge Base
Customize and paste the snippet
Set colors, greeting and rules, then copy your snippet and paste it before the closing body tag on your site.

Install

Where do I paste it?

Paste the snippet once, just before the closing body tag, so it loads on every page. Pick your platform:

Paste it in: Theme footer

Open your theme's footer, or any tool your site already has for adding code to the footer.

Paste the snippet just before the closing body tag.

Save, then reload your site.

Menu names can change. If you cannot find the setting, check the platform’s help pages.

The snippet

One line, three parts

src: Loads the chat widget from widget.chatdek.com.
data-key: Tells Chatdek which website this is. Yours is shown in the Install Guide.
async: Loads the widget without holding up the rest of your page.

Your own key replaces YOUR_KEY. The Install Guide in the portal shows the snippet ready to copy.

Check it works

Three quick checks

Open your website in a new private window.
The chat launcher should appear in the corner you chose in Widget Setup.
In the Install Guide, use Test installation. It looks for chat sessions in the last 7 days, so open the widget once yourself if your site is new.

If it does not appear

Check that the snippet was saved and that the site was published.
Clear any caching on your site, then reload in a private window.
Make sure your Chatdek plan is active.
On builders that restrict custom code, check that your site plan allows it.
