Install
To install Chatdek on Shopify, copy your snippet from the Install Guide in the Chatdek portal and paste it in your theme's main layout file just before the closing body tag. It takes about five minutes and needs no coding beyond pasting one line. Your own snippet, with your real key, is shown in the Install Guide page of the Chatdek portal. Copy it from there rather than from this page.

You need your Chatdek account and your snippet. It looks like this, with your own key in place of YOUR_KEY:

In your Shopify admin open Online Store, then Themes. Next to your live theme choose the three dots and Edit code.
Open the file named theme.liquid under Layout.
Scroll to the end, find the closing </body> tag and paste your snippet on the line just above it.
Save. Visit your store in a private window to see the chat button.
Take a copy of the theme first from the same menu, so you can go back if needed.
After saving, open your website in a private window, wait a few seconds and look for the chat button. If you do not see it, clear any caching plugin or CDN cache and reload.
Then open the Install Guide in the Chatdek portal; it confirms when it can see the widget on your website.
Make sure you pasted the whole line, with nothing added inside the quotes, and that it is saved and published.
Check that a cookie or security plugin is not blocking third-party scripts, and that your domain matches the website address in your Chatdek account.
