How to Install Chatdek on Any Website With HTML Access

You need your Chatdek account and your snippet. It looks like this, with your own key in place of YOUR_KEY:

You also need permission to edit your Any Website With HTML Access site's code or scripts.

Open the file that holds your page footer. For a static site that is the HTML file or the shared footer template.

Paste your snippet on the line just above </body> and save.

Upload the file if you edit locally, and clear any cache.

If your site is built with a framework such as React, Next.js or Vue, add the snippet in your root layout or document, so it loads on every page.

After saving, open your website in a private window, wait a few seconds and look for the chat button. If you do not see it, clear any caching plugin or CDN cache and reload.

Then open the Install Guide in the Chatdek portal; it confirms when it can see the widget on your website.

Make sure you pasted the whole line, with nothing added inside the quotes, and that it is saved and published.

Check that a cookie or security plugin is not blocking third-party scripts, and that your domain matches the website address in your Chatdek account.
