Start with the questions customers really ask
Look at your inbox, phone notes and social messages. Write down the twenty questions you answer most often. These become your first entries.
Write short, specific entries
One topic per entry works best. Compare "We offer a range of treatments" with "Teeth whitening takes about 60 minutes. It is available Monday to Saturday." The second is something a chatbot can use.
- Services and what they include
- Prices, packages and what affects them
- Opening hours, locations and how to get there
- Policies: cancellations, refunds, deposits
- How to book, and what to bring
Add documents and your website
If you already have a price list, menu or brochure, upload it. Chatdek accepts PDF, Word, text and CSV files, and can read pages from your website and refresh them automatically.
Set rules and topics to avoid
Tell the assistant how to speak, and what it must not do, such as giving medical or legal advice. Rules keep answers on brand and safe.
Test, then keep improving
Ask the chatbot your twenty questions before going live. After launch, review the questions it could not answer and add them. A knowledge base is never finished; a few minutes a week keeps it accurate.
