What does it collect?
Chat messages, and any details visitors give, such as names, emails and phone numbers. Ask your provider exactly what is stored.
Who processes the data?
Chatbots often use sub-processors for hosting and AI. A good provider lists them and signs a data processing agreement. Chatdek publishes its sub-processors and a data processing addendum.
Is it clear to visitors?
Say that visitors are talking to an AI, link your privacy policy, and explain what happens to what they type. Chatdek shows an AI badge and asks permission before remembering a returning visitor.
How long is it kept?
Set a retention period that matches what you actually need, and make sure you can delete a person's data when asked.
Cookies and analytics
If you measure visits, tell visitors and ask for consent where required. Chatdek's visitor counting uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses.
